AGREEMENT
ON WAGE POLICY IN THE COMMERCIAL SECTOR FOR 1994
(separate document of the social agreement)


9. The signatories hereby establish the Economic and Social Council.

The Economic and Social Council is a tripartite body composed of 15 members, of which the employers, employees and government respectively appoint five.

The Economic and Social Council is established with the purpose of considering issues and measures concerning economic and social policies, and other issues related to the specific fields of the social partners’ dialogue, and providing opinions or positions on these issues.

The Council shall provide the competent authorities and organisations with proposals and initiatives about the issues in its field of operation.

The Council shall consider matters at the request of one of the social partners, but it may also consider individual matters on its own initiative.

The Economic and Social Council shall adopt rules on its work.

The Economic and Social Council shall be constituted and start working within fourteen days of the signing of this Agreement.

10. The signatories of this Agreement hereby agree to regulate the reimbursement of material expanses related to business travels in a uniform way for all employees in the Republic of Slovenia. The method and schedule of harmonisation shall be proposed by the Economic and Social Council.

11. This Agreement shall form a special integral part of the Social Agreement between the Employers, Employees and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for 1994.

The Economic and Social Council shall monitor the implementation of this Agreement and provide interpretation of its implementation and, if necessary, propose changes to this Agreement.
